Behavior

Giant Pandas are docile and naive creatures. They rarely attack without provocation and holds itself aloof. In the wild, Giant Pandas are terrestrial and will always claim territory with about 10-30 hectares by marking their scent, urinating, and clawing trees. They usually claim their territory around clean water (like rivers or lakes) and bamboo (their primary source of food). They usually spend about 10-12 hours feeding and the rest, sleeping. The Giant Panda does not hibernate during the winter due to its low nutrient diet. Giant Pandas also love to climb trees.
